Engaging the Town Ahead of Amendment 7 Today
Rich House - Wednesday 13 December 2017
Our pop-up engagement of locals in Romsey town centre went well yesterday. We handed out over 100 leaflets asking people to email Ms Nokes, almost entirely to people who share our concerns. If you're one of these and have found your way from the leaflet to here, a very warm welcome. We have links to our email and Facebook groups on our contacts page if you'd like updates on our campaign.
One elderly Brexit supporter took one and showed surprising agility in running away with it after explaining why we were wrong and ahead of my forthcoming gentle persuasion to change his mind. When I asked Brexit supporters what law changes they were looking forward to post Brexit (should it happen) interestingly they all went quiet. The photo was taken by Berenice in a quiet moment. It was actually quite busy with many Christmas lunches taking place in the Phoenix. If you've not yet sent your emails please send them this morning as the Amendment 7 will be debated today. This is a crucial moment in our campaign. Why not have a look at the sample emails we've put on our Take Action page? Well done everyone for all your help so far. Let's keep up the good work. |
